One of the greatest things about being human is our sleep schedule. After a long day, we sink into a deep sleep each night. And every morning, we awaken with a well-rested body, mind and soul. Some of us are even lucky enough to dream.
Sure, we’re surrounded by the same people, places, and things (and stress) but we can choose how we handle them. Each day truly is a new day – and it’s up to us to decide how we live it. We can wake up to live out the day with purpose, intention, and clarity. Or we can give in to our modern-day desires and let the stress of our lives get the best of us.
I honestly look forward to sleeping each night because I love waking up in the morning and having a clean slate. It’s a blessing that we’re able to shape our lives and outlook and destinies. Today I woke up refreshed and with intention – most likely because it’s finally my day off. And without a long work day to get in the way, I can tackle all the little goals that slipped through the stress of the week. I can go grocery shopping, clean my room, and knock out some laundry. More importantly, I can eat fresh, whole foods, stock up on organic goodies, take in my apple cider vinegar, green tea, and my vitamins. Maybe I’ll even squeeze in some yoga.
The point is that each day is another opportunity to become the best version of ourselves. Or to at least take steps closer towards it. This may be cheesy and new-agey, but its totally true. So cheers to yet another new day – and the fact that tomorrow we get at least one more chance to accomplish our dreams.
